Samuel Brian Cunningham

Following his service with the United States Air Force, he graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Art degree in Business Administration.

He previously worked as a mill manager for 25 years at the Louisiana Pacific Corporation in New Waverly, Texas. He was member and Master Mason at the Forrest Lodge, Huntsville, Texas. Upon retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

He was survived by his wife, Linda Stayton Cunningham, and his stepsons Jeffrey Stayton and his wife Maria, and Mathew Stayton and his son Riley. He is also survived by his daughter, Donna Cunningham, and her husband Brian, and their children Sabrina, Bradon, and Arianna.

Sam dearly loved all the members of his family including his many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas, on April 25, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
