Shannon graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s Degree in early education. She wanted to be a teacher like her father. She took great joy in teaching many students over the years, with the majority of her years working at Kinsmen Lutheran Preschool.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends for birthday and holiday celebrations. She enjoyed crafting and baking for special occasions and following Major League baseball. Shannon never missed watching or listening to a game of her home team, the Astros.
Her children and grandchildren filled her heart and thoughts and she delighted in all their accomplishments.
Shannon is preceded in death by her sister Stephanie Hanna, her father George Hanna, and her mother Betty. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years Dale, her children Andrew (Pamela) and Heather (James), her sister Cassandra Wilkin and brothers Gregory (Gloria) Hanna and Paul (Arlene) Hanna, and her grandchildren Nathan, Natalie, Brendan, and Noah.
Although her passing came too quickly, all can be comforted during this time of grief by the blessed knowledge that Shannon is with Almighty God in heaven.
A celebration of life for Shannon will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 at 2:00pm in Cashner Colonial Hall, (801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303), with burial to follow in Garden Park Mausoleum.
