Sherry Whalen Moses, lovingly known to her grandchildren as "Sweetie," passed away at the age of 67 in The Woodlands, Texas. Born in Richmond, Indiana, Sherry lived a vibrant life in Houston, TX, alongside her beloved husband of 46 years, Edwin Moses.
Sherry was the heart of her family, finding endless joy in the company of her parents, Jack and Shirley Whalen, her sisters, Leah Crook and her husband Jack , and Tina Fregia and her husband Avery. Her passion for family extended to her cherished moments with her daughter, Erika Koehler, and her husband, Kory, and her beloved grandsons, Keaton Jax and Kason Jett Koehler.
A true adventurer at heart, Sherry loved traveling and creating unforgettable memories with her family. From trips to Indiana and Michigan for family reunions, visiting the magical world of Disney to the scenic beauty of Grand Junction, CO, from the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls to the vastness of the Grand Canyon, and the vibrant music scene of Nashville, she embraced every adventure with enthusiasm and joy, adding countless places to her list of explorations, most notably visiting every Walmart along each route. Sherry was a lifelong member of Munn Street Baptist Church.
Professionally, Sherry dedicated fifty years of her life at Kellogg Brown and Root, where she served as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Her commitment and efficiency left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the company.
Sherry was predeceased by her grandparents, Paul and Beatrice Brown, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sherry leaves a treasure of memories with her lifelong best friend and twin, Lynn Orsak, her dear friend Brenda Vozzo and of course her Indiana Whalen family.

Family, friends and all who knew her will come together to celebrate a life beautifully lived and deeply loved. Visitation for Sherry will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303). Funeral services will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Cashner Colonial Hall with Pastor Shannon Cunnington officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
Sherry's memory will forever be a beacon of light, love, and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her lasting impact is one of love, reminding us all to cherish every moment with family and friends. We love you Sweetie.
