01/02/1984 – 10/01/2011
At 9:23 A.M. on January 2, 1984, a light consumed our lives. The small town of Waukegan, Illinois was blessed as the location of Sofia's humble beginnings. With a family that loved and cherished her, Sofia flourished in an environment of love, God, music, theater, classic movies, and family traditions. Andrew Cooke Elementary was a training ground for her growing love of the piano, violin and voice. Upon moving to The Woodlands, Texas in mid July 1997, Sofia enrolled at McCullough then attended The Woodlands High School. There she participated and excelled in academics, orchestra, choir, and color guard, while dabbling in theater. After graduating from high school she moved on to Montgomery College where Sofia discovered her calling in musical theater. Changing her major and transferring to Sam Houston University, she began her training and performing experience. Her lists of performances are many and the list of people who loved and admire her for her talents and her gusto for life increased. With her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater at hand, her career blossomed with many opportunities. Sofia found joy in serving and entertaining people which lead her to new experiences at Hubble & Hudson and at BEUSA Energy. At approximately 9:20 A.M. on October 1st, that light that shined so brightly for so many of us ceased and moved on. Her joy, laughter, and concern for others were a wonderful testament of how we should all live our lives.
Peace be with you and may the Spirit of our Lord dwell within your hearts.
