Sonny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was known and respected as a man with a deep love for and a strong commitment to his family. Always putting others first, Sonny’s life goal was to make everyone else happy. He was a loving, supportive and kind husband, father, a playful and compassionate grandfather and great grandfather who put everyone else’s needs and desires above his own.
Sonny loved to share time with his family relaxing on the porch and boating on Lake Conroe. He enjoyed golfing and had a great love for football, especially for his alma mater Texas A&M. As an honest, hard-working and dedicated flooring professional, he was respected by his peers and clients alike. When Sonny had a job to do, he always made sure it was done and done right.
Planning to move with his wife Phyllis to join family in Colorado and travel in their new RV, Sonny was set to retire on November 15 and died the day of his retirement party just two days earlier. He was preceded in death by his parents. Juanita and Ellis Foy. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Foy, son Jim Foy, daughter LeNette Stanka; seven grandchildren; Justin, Christopher, Caleb, Stephen and Michael Hampton, and Conner and Camryn Foy; great-granddaughter Annabelle Hampton; brother Kenneth Foy.
