Stephen Wayne Knighten

Stephen Wayne Knighten was born in Houston, Texas on October 24, 1981. He grew up in Magnolia, Texas and as a young adult he lived in Colorado and Arizona. At the age of 24, he moved to Houston, where he met his loving wife. They settled down in Montgomery, Texas, where they celebrated 11 years of marriage. During this time, they had one daughter, Addyson Lynn, and one son, Hudson Wayne. Stephen worked tirelessly to provide for his family as a field service technician offshore for 9 years and later worked in the Texas oilfield for 6 years. Stephen lived life to the fullest, enjoying boating, fishing, snow-skiing, jiu-jitsu, hunting and vacations with family and friends. Family and friends were incredibly important to Stephen.

He will be remembered as a loving husband and exceptional father. Stephen had an incredible bond with his children, he loved to wrestle with Hudson and shared a special compassion for animals with his daughter, Addyson. He simply loved laughing and being in the moment with his wife and best friend, Kristina.

Stephen Knighten is survived by his wife, Kristina; daughter, Addyson Knighten and son, Hudson Knighten, mother, Ann Knighten- Byrd, and brothers Drew Iverson and Kevin Iverson. He was preceded by his dad, Douglas Ray Roemer, grandmother Martha J Knighten, and grandmother Florine Roemer.

Stephen passed away on Friday, August 7th, 2020 at the age of 38.

The funeral ceremony for Stephen will be held on August 14th at 11:00 am at Fellowship of Montgomery Church. If you wish to send flowers, please send to Metcalf Funeral Home at 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX 77304. Due to the current pandemic, there will be a virtual option available as well. The family is requesting attendees to wear a mask and to practice social distancing (please use discretion with hugs).
