Steven Kirkman Wheeler passed away July 12, 2026. Steve was born in Houston and spent his childhood there. After moving to Conroe he met his wife of 38 years. Steve was a talented custom home framer for many years before working in the electrical field, then moving on to Offerpad and retiring in late 2024. He was an excellent athlete and enjoyed the outdoors. Steve loved animals and rescued several strays over the years, giving them a loving home and making them part of his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always playing pranks. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but never forgotten.
Steve is survived by his wife Stacie, brother Thomas Wheeler, brother William (Bill) Wheeler and his wife Sharon, sister Catherine (Cathy) Thiberville and her husband Andy, many sisters-and brothers-in-law, eight nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews; all of whom he deeply loved and was proud to be their Uncle Steve.
Memorial service will be held at Metcalf Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25th at 2pm.
