Sue was born on October 19, 1939, in Houston, Texas, and was raised in Conroe. She graduated from Conroe High School in 1957. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, John Earl Weisinger. Sue and John were married on July 19, 1957, beginning a marriage and life together that would span more than six decades.
Following their marriage, Sue and John moved to Huntsville, Texas, while John attended Sam Houston State Teachers College. After his graduation, they returned to Conroe, where they made their home, raised their family, and built their life together.
Sue devoted herself to being a wife and mother and took great pride in caring for her family and her home. She loved to cook and enjoyed keeping an organized and tidy home. She also loved working in her yard and surrounding her home with beautiful flowers. Sue had a special appreciation for God’s beauty and found great joy in the flowers and natural beauty around her. Sue had a special love for tea, never passing up a glass of strong iced tea filled full of ice or a comforting cup of hot tea, and she especially treasured sharing tea with family and friends.
More than anything, Sue loved her family dearly. Although she was a private person, she treasured the times when her family gathered. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was lovingly known as Mamoo.
In 1975, Sue and John founded Weisinger Water Well. What began as a small business operated from their home grew and expanded through their hard work and dedication. Sue and John worked side by side, serving their community and building a successful family business together.
Sue and John were blessed with three children: Cliff Robert Weisinger, who passed away suddenly in 2024, and his first wife, Kellie; Michael Scott Weisinger and his wife, Camille; and Laura Weisinger Sherrod and her husband, Kurt Sherrod.
Sue was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Michael Weisinger and his wife, Brittany; Sara Elizabeth Taylor and her husband, John; Cameron Weisinger and his fiancée, Ana; Kristofer Weisinger and his wife, Kimberly; Victoria Sherrod and her fiancé, Travis; Jacob Sherrod; and Caleb Weisinger. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: David, Nolan, Lorali, Emmett, Boone, Tate, Zachariah, and Brent.
Sue is also survived by her brother, Milton Scott and his wife, Sharon; her sister-in-law, Gertie Spencer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Earl Weisinger; her son, Cliff Robert Weisinger; her sister, Nancy Ruth Scott Liles; and her parents, Ralph and Katy Scott.
Sue’s life was centered around the things she loved most—her husband, her children and family, her home, and the life she and John built together. Her family will miss her deeply, but they find peace and comfort knowing that Mamoo and Papoo are together again.
A service honoring Sue’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Texas Groundwater Association Scholarship Foundation in memory of Sue Weisinger.
