She was gifted to the world in December 1972 in Troy, Ohio, to her mother Catherine Anna Stanse and her father Odell Baker.
Though her early life was filled with hardships and challenges, Tammie never allowed those experiences to harden her heart. Instead, they strengthened her kindness, compassion, and belief in caring for others. No matter what life placed before her, she continued to meet the world with love.
Her heart was pure and her soul golden. She had a special love for children and animals, often spending time at local shelters showering even the roughest looking animals with affection and care. She especially loved the kittens. She also never missed an opportunity to brighten a child’s day by speaking with them on their level, making them feel seen, and giving small gifts whenever she could to make someone smile even when it meant it was the last of her dollars.
Tammie found comfort and joy in the media of her generation when times were simpler. She loved the classic 80-90’s cartoons such as the Care Bears, The Smurfs, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Hey Arnold, Spongebob, Mickey and Minnie, and even Winnie the Pooh too. These shows are some of which she shared with her son, creating quiet moments of comfort, laughter, and connection that will always be cherished.
She is survived by her son, Arturo Orozco Jr.
Tammie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the love she gave so freely to the people and animals around her. Though her life was not always easy, she remained someone who tried to lift others up and leave kindness wherever she went.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her love continues in the way her son carries her kindness forward.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, US, on May 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
