Terri Ellis Brothers, born on July 9, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 63.
Terri was born as a twin alongside her sister, Sherri Dawn Ellis. She attended Conroe High School and the University of Texas, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors.
Her career began at the young age of 14 when she started working at Clark Pharmacy. Terri was valedictorian of both her sheriff's department academy class and paralegal class. She went on to serve her community at Montgomery County EMS, Huntsville PD, and Conroe PD, where she notably dispatched the biggest fire in Montgomery County history. She continued her dedicated service at the Harris County Sheriff's Department from 1996 to 2003 and briefly at Shenandoah PD.
Terri was preceded in death by her beloved twin sister, Sherri Ellis Jones. She is survived by her mother, Starlett Curry; her uncle, Fielding Smith, and his wife, Trish; her cousin, Lydia Lawrence, and her husband, Michael; and her niece and nephew, Lauren and JC Jones. A host of first responders and friends also survive her.
Terri was actively involved in her community, volunteering at The Ark Church. Her personal legacy is marked by her deep faith and love for the Lord, as evidenced by her creation of 750 crystal angels called Abby's Angels for Abby Thomas who has been seriously ill, a testament to her commitment to doing God's work.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, located at 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on December 20, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Terri's life was characterized by her unwavering faith, dedication to service, and love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. God bless you Terri.
