Thomas Joe Crowe, 75, entered into eternal rest after passing away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and unwavering devotion to family. Born October 25,1950 in Lafayette, Indiana and passing December 31, 2025 in Willis, Texas.
Tom….from his humble beginnings in Remington, Indiana, living on a pig and cattle farm with his parents and four brothers to the Tom we all learned to love and respect. Tom considered our lives Blessed and that it certainly was. His career was enriched by the people he encountered along the way and the tremendous opportunities that seemed to just materialize for him. His career began in education in 1972 as a teacher and coach and lasted through his third stent as a district Superintendent. Tom’s passions were strong and his commitment to education was unwavering. You would hear him say often, “Kids don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care” and this truly sums up the man and person he became and continued to be. Remember Tom, Daddy, Brother, Grandpa and the love of my life as he would want you to remember him. His laughter, quick wit, bad jokes and “Have a Super Wildkat Day” will always be treasured by those he knew and those who loved him. Tom and Mary Jane loved to travel and play cards (in which the men always seemed to win) and golf. After 41 years of marriage, there was not a Tom without his wife and not a wife without her TC.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary Jane Crowe; sons, Kelly Crowe (wife Jeanie Crowe) and David (wife Lyndsay Crowe); grandchildren, Madisyn Crowe and Carson Crowe; and brothers, Richard (Dick) Crowe (wife Brenda Crowe), William (Bill) Crowe (wife Trudy Crowe), David (Mike) Crowe (wife Diane Crowe); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, Buford (Boots) Crowe; his mother, Florence Squires; and his brother, Robert (Bob) Crowe.
There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our neighbors who were there for us on the night of his passing. Tom’s legacy will carry on forever and his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Metcalf Funeral Directors, located at 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas. The service is scheduled for January 11, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm.
