Born on April 16, 1941, to Timothy Carter & Oleta Mae Swinney in Oran, Texas. She went to be with her Lord and Family in heaven on February 23, 2021, in Conroe, Texas where her joy, spirit and health were perfectly restored.
Timmie was a loving mother, memaw, sister, Aunt Timmie, ‘Miss Timmie’, friend, mentor, and so much more. She loved spending time with her family and always had a wisecrack or witty remark to tease them with. Her family was her #1 but her church and bowling were right behind them.
She was the true epitome of a dedicated Christian and loved her church family. It has been said that if Baptists had female deacons, she would be the perfect example of one. She loved working in the nursery with all of her “babies” and truly enjoyed the joy they brought to her life.
Timmie was also an avid bowler and bowled even more after her retirement. In 2019 she was surprised by her bowling family when she was inducted into the Montgomery County Bowling Hall of Fame.
Throughout her life she was much loved and appreciated at her numerous jobs including Montgomery County Government, Panola Junior College, Conroe Regional Medical Center and Weatherford.
Timmie was selfless, giving, caring and completely remarkable. She was determined to live a good life no matter what was thrown at her and she persevered through many challenges. She was funny and spunky and always emerged with a smile. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her and will never be forgotten. She was our ‘Timmie’.
Timmie is preceded in death by her older brothers Bill and Waymon Swinney, baby brother Carter Dwayne Swinney, sister Berta Jordan, nephew Timothy Swinney, and brother-in-law Oliver Wilson.
