It was a honor & privilege in getting to knowing Vernon Bowers . He taught me everything I know about plant work & especially Hyperzone which was his baby. He was a very dedicated & hard working man & he really will be missed.

Had plenty of fun with Vernon and Tammy and the girls when they were our neighbors across the street in Pasadena. One Friday night there was nothing to do and Vernon introduced us to the purse game. He got a purse and put paper In it as if it was full and tied a string to it and put it in the middle of the street. As people would stop their cars to get it Vernon would pull the string. Scared the poo out of most people even the neighborhood watch! We have wonderful memories from those years. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Mary Bowers family. To Caitlin and Jennifer we are sending our love and hugs. Steve and Diane and girls

I have so many memories growing up with Vernon Wayne. Playing colored eggs in Grandma's front yard, hiding Easter eggs, picking figs, shelling pecans, cooking with Grandma... he always made me feel protected and loved. As adults we were lucky enough to take motorcycle trips , cruises and trips to Vegas together. Even though we did not get to spend as much time together the past few years, he always picked up the phone. My heart is hurting. .. Jennifer and Caitlin, you two are amazing. I know that he was so proud of you.
