

Virginia Edith McDaniel Hagan, 89, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011. She was born on October 25, 1921 in Louisville, Kentucky to Clarence and Edith McDaniel. She was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, Alter Society, Catholic Daughters and den mother to her children in Cub and Boy Scouts. Virginia was a riveter on the Douglas aircraft while her husband was overseas during World War II. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, good friend and neighbor to all who knew and loved her. Virginia loved dominos, playing cards and traveling and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband James of 70 years who passed away June 12, 2011. She is survived by her sons James and wife Ann of Santa Fe, Texas, Larry and wife Marilyn of Texas City, Pat of Montgomery, Paul and wife Nancy of Lahaina, Hawaii; daughters Toni Moore and friend Alan of Loveland, Colorado and Dorothy Wilkinson and husband Covy of Willis, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. Serving as Pallbearers will be the sons of Mrs. Hagan and grandsons Patrick Hagan and Covy Wilkinson III. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Burial will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Houston, Texas where Virginia will be laid at rest next to her husband.
