Virginia was born September 22nd, 1943 in Houston, Texas. She was born to parents Robert Lee and Marie Henderson. Her family moved to Conroe where she attended Travis High School. Virginia was known for her crafting skills, loving personality, and kind disposition.
Virginia met her first husband Sydney Wayne Thomas when she was 17 years old. They married in 1961, and lived in Conroe until his untimely passing in 1986. Virginia worked at Sacred Heart Catholic school in the cafeteria for many years where she enjoyed seeing and serving all the children.

Pat, I was so sorry to hear about Virginia's passing away. I remember her fondly from when we rode the school bus together. My friend, Carolyn Ellisor, knew her from a quilting club. Again, I am sorry about your loss. It is not easy losing a sister.

Virginia lived down the street from my folks and in later years worked with my Mom at Sacred Heart school. She was a sweet lady and a good neighbor. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family.

I have fond memories growing up and going with my father to see Aunt Virginia. He would check on her and see if she or the boys needed anything. Her home was always welcoming. She had a gift for sewing and crotchet for which many benefited from. I reconnected with her several years back and she always overflowed with love, encouragement and peace. Much love to my cousins.

My last memory about my wonderful grandma. A few weeks ago she video called me. I sat there saying hello for about two minutes until she realized where the voice was coming from. She grabbed her phone out of her pocket just sitting there giggling her butt off at me. She thought it was the tv even though it was off and it all just triggered her giggles. One memory I will never forget. The second to last time I got to talk with her

My Sweet Virginia. My heart is broken that you are no longer with us but I am rejoicing for you as I know you are sitting at the right hand of God. We have been family for the last 8 years-spending holidays and all celebrations together. Things will not be the same without you here. I can tell you that you have no idea what a footprint you left on the hearts of your loved ones. Mine included. Fly high sweet lady. Till we meet again....

There are so many memories that I have. My whole life. Our trip to and from Arkansas. Our recent year in lockdown. She helped me so much with momma. Our political talks and Trump support. I will always love and miss her. She had a wonderful personality and sense of humor. Always smiling and laughing.

So sorry for the loss of this great Lady. Virginia was a big part of my growing up, while married into the family. She taught me my self worth. I will always consider her as MOM.
PRAYERS FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY.
