Wanda Sue Green, 75, of Montgomery, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026. Born May 19, 1951, in Edna, Texas. Wanda Sue was a beloved and cherished presence whose kind heart, steady faith, and honest way of being left a lasting mark on all who knew her. Even in life’s ordinary moments, she carried a warmth that made people feel at ease—and a gentle humor that could brighten a room without ever asking for attention.
From her early years, Wanda Sue found joy in the company of family and friends. She loved horses and the simple freedom of trail rides, and she also loved going dancing with her friends—bringing her faithful spirit and lightheartedness into the rhythms of everyday life.
In her retirement years, Wanda Sue enjoyed going to the VFW Hall on Tuesday and Thursday to play dominos with her friends, valuing the fellowship and laughter found around the table. She also enjoyed riding horses, playing dominos, and working the local elections—quietly giving her time in a way that reflected her dependable, caring nature. Wanda Sue really loved her fast food daily, and she took special pride in her gardens and all the flowers, tending them with the same patience and kindness she offered to others.
Wanda Sue would like to spend time with family and trips to venture out to different memorial sites, holding close the people she loved and honoring what mattered to her with sincerity and devotion.
Wanda Sue was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Green; parents Audrey and Oscar Strader; and brother Melvin Strader. She is survived by sons Charles Gengo and wife Dana, and Chad Gengo; granddaughter Jarin Robinson and husband Dustin; grandsons Hunter Gengo, Chance Gengo and wife Taylor; and numerous great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on June 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303, on June 11, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
