A California beach girl at heart, Wendie never lost her love for the ocean. It was her favorite place to be. She met her husband, Steve Reed, while working at Hughes aircraft together. They fell in love and married in 1977. Their son, John, was born in 1980. Steve passed away in December 2025. After 48 years of love and marriage, they are together again.
Wendie was a lifelong Christian with a deep and quiet faith in the Lord. She prayed for her family every day, read her Bible, and gently encouraged others to know God. She loved her family fiercely and was a friend to nearly everyone she met. If someone was in need, she found a way to help. She put herself second so the people she loved would want for nothing.
Wendie was a social butterfly; she loved to listen to live music and go dancing. Her favorites were motown and classic rock, she loved life
and she lived it with joy. For most of her career she worked at Highlands Ranch High School in a variety of roles. Students and staff knew her simply as Wendie. She touched countless lives with kindness, friendship, and a steady, Godly example.
Wendie is survived by her son, John Reed, his wife Vanessa, and their daughter Brighton; her sister, Debbie Musso; her dog, Bupper; and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the chance to know her.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on September 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
