Will Purdy Reade, a kind-hearted, generous, and compassionate man, passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on September 17, 1956, at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston, Texas, he was the beloved son of Willard Reade and Pauline Slominski Reade.
Will's early years were marked by his service in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 to 1981. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career in the wine and spirits industry, working from 1984 until his retirement in 2019. Notably, he dedicated many years to Southern Glazers, where he worked from 1993 to 2019.
A loving husband and father, Will was known for his generosity, both financially and with his time. He was a devoted member of The Woodlands Methodist Church and had a passion for metal detecting, spending time with his grandchildren, and traveling.
Will was deeply involved in his community, supporting organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Cheers for Charity, A Sheltered Life, and Habitat for Humanity.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Reade, of Spring, TX; daughter Lauren Harper of San Angelo, TX; son Michael Reade of Katy, TX; daughter Melissa Rausch of Montgomery, TX; son Patrick Reade of Spring, TX; son Brandon Reade of Spring, TX; daughter Catherine Reade of Spring, TX; daughter Sarah Reade of New Caney, TX; daughter Jessica Quinn of Cornwall, England; and sister Pam Cusack of Moore, OK.
A visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, located at 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX, on November 22, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The committal service will take place at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
