William Henry Behler Jr.

William Henry Behler, Jr, 76, of Pine Canyon Drive in Spring, passed away at Memorial Herman Hospital in the Woodlands, TX on February 23, 2020, the son of the late William and Doris (Jerolman) Behler. Mr. Behler was raised in Guilford, CT. He attended Guilford High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Central Texas College in Killeen, his Masters Degree from American Technological University, Killeen and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX in 1978. He was married to the former Barbara Hibbard of Mystic, CT.

In 1967, Mr. Behler joined the Army where he became a Chief Warrant Officer and flew helicopters. He served two tours in Viet Nam. After nearly ten years in the Army, he went on to obtain his education and then worked as the First Assistant District Attorney in Conroe, TX for nearly ten years. After many years in private practice, Mr. Behler retired in 2009.

Including his wife, he is survived by his two children, Laura Beck of Riverview, Florida and William E. Behler, a brother, Robert Behler of Holliston, MA, a sister, Doris Gallagher of Florida, and nine grandchildren.

He will be privately interred at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
