William Robison Gabel

Bob and Catherine resided for many years in Elkins Lake, where Bob often enjoyed golf. They were members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, in Huntsville. They will be interred together at Houston National Cemetery privately at a later date. He was a former Marine, having served from 1951-1953.

Bob was born in Beloit, Kansas on March 11, 1929, and was the youngest of three children. He went to High School in Hawaii, College at Washburn University in Kansas, and spent the majority of his working career in Texas. He is survived by four daughters, Sara Hood (Roger) of Grandview, Missouri, Christie Stotz (Fred) of Austin, Texas, Terry Wright (Lewis) of El Paso, Texas, and Becky Seltz (Steve) of Willis, Texas. His family includes eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed.
