William Samuel Weisinger Jr.

Bill was born in Montgomery County, Texas to Marguerite and William Samuel Weisinger. He married Winifred Pauline Palmer on July, 22, 1961. He graduated from Conroe High School, Texas A & M University (BS Mechanical Engineering) and the Air Force Institute of Technology (MS Aerospace Engineering).

He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 29 years achieving the rank of Colonel. Bill’s programs included Minuteman, Peacekeeper and MILSTAR, all vital efforts during the Cold War. Following retirement in 1990, Bill continued working in the aerospace industry at Rocketdyne, Boeing and Booz Allen.

He enjoyed membership with the Texas A&M Former Students, the Palos Verdes Breakfast Club, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. He was an active church member throughout his life, most recently of the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church in Palos Verdes.

Bill was a passionate and lifelong fan of the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. While growing up, Bill worked on his father’s ranch and particularly enjoyed herding cattle. This time greatly influenced his life and he was always willing to share stories and memories with friends and family. Though he moved from Texas when commissioned in the Air Force, he always kept Texas close to his heart.

He and Winnie, his wife of 65 years, shared many global adventures and travels, including spending their 50th wedding anniversary on a safari in Tanzania with family members. He was an avid reader of biographies, WWII history, and good spy novels and enjoyed puns, dominoes and Volkswagens.

He is survived by Winnie Weisinger, his wife; Debbie Weisinger, their daughter, and her husband, Gerard Westmiller; John Weisinger, their son and his wife, Jill Weisinger, along with their children, his grandchildren, Jake Weisinger, Josh Weisinger and his wife, Ellie Williams-Weisinger.

He will be laid to rest in Conroe, Texas among family and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Texas A&M, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, Rolling Hills United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be held at Garden Park Cemetery Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:00 am.
