Alberta Perry Swann

Swann, Alberta P., 88, of Coral Springs, Florida, formerly of Margate, Florida, Chesapeake, Ohio and Huntington, West Virginia, passed away peacefully November 4, 2013. She was born April 2, 1925 in Ona, West Virginia to the late Albert G and Cora M. (Cyrus) Perry. "Bert" was an early member of Mud River Baptist Church in Barboursville, WV. She and her husband, Howard owned Swann's Grill & Tavern on 9th Street in West Huntington and later Swann's Drive Inn in Chesapeake, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Howard E. Swann in 1984, an infant brother and sister, sisters, Margaret Martin, Thelma Elliott and Irene Lowe, brothers, Edward, Raymond and Joseph Perry. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sheila (Carl) Branscome of Coral Springs, FL, grandchildren, Laura (Roy) Kibling of Coral Springs, FL, Jason (Jennifer) Branscome of Tamarac, FL, great grandchildren, Taylor & RJ Kibling of Coral Springs, Nathanial, Andrew and Grace Alberta Branscome of Tamarac, sisters, Elsie Rucker of Alexandria, VA, Erma Lee Stover of Huntington, WV, stepdaughter, Marlene (Leo) Mannon of Wayne, WV, many nieces, nephews and her much loved dog, Willie. A Memorial Service and interment of her ashes will be at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bert's memory be made to your local food bank or your local animal rescue.
