Wow,  I am in complete shock.  I met Amato while visiting the West Palm office for UL. He was such a friendly,  outgoing, brilliant,  and patient man. He taught me everything I know about wifi. I had the chance to go to lunch with him. I remember him telling me about how he and his wife were worried about their son climbing on the counters in the kitchen and I was struck by how proud he was of his son and how much he cared for him.  The world is truly worse off without him.  I am glad I had the chance to meet him. My deepest condolences to his family. I am sorry I never met any of you. 

I was lucky enough to work with Amato at UL and got a chance to see what a great man he was. I will miss him dearly his affection,expertise, guidance will always inspire us.
We’re praying for your family and take comfort that Amato is at peace and watching over us all.

I first met Amato when he was hired as our Senior Wi-Fi engineer 8 years ago.  We knew right away that Amato was extraordinary.  Amato was one of the smartest people I have ever met. Not only could he debug complex wireless protocols, but Amato developed several training classes and loved to share his knowledge with others.  Amato’s discipline, persistence and passion contributed to the success of many complex test programs. 

We absolutely loved Amato’s Italian “passione” which would occasionally get him in hot water during conference calls. This was because Amato really cared about his work and co-workers and wouldn’t sit by without voicing his opinion.

If you knew Amato well, you also knew he had a huge heart. He considered his co-works as his “second family”. He was a true gentle giant. 

We will miss him dearly.


To Amato, a great friend, brother in law, and Godfather to our daughter Antonietta. Thanks for being there when we needed you and for the great times we had as a family. To say we miss you already is the greatest understatement of  all time. Love you always!

I am grateful having had the opportunity to work with Amato at UL throughout the years. Amato was so diligent in all that he did and was always willing to assist with any questions at a moment's notice.

I express my deepest condolences to Amato's family and friends. My sincerest hope is that you will find peace and comfort through all the cherished memories. Amato will be sorely missed but will be ever present in our thoughts. RIP Amato!!!


I will always remember how much fun we would have going to concerts, Oktoberfest, and MacGuire’s in Fort Lauderdale. I will also always remember when I went to Gina & Amato’s for dinner after their honeymoon where we tasted the wines they brought back from Italy. I will always keep these great memories in my heart.  I will miss you very much Amato.

Gina, of course I had a great time at your wedding, but my favorite memory of Amato was when we went to see Juventus play PSG at Hard Rock Stadium. I had no idea he was such a soccer fan. He was feeling "loose" and in such a good mood the whole time. I enjoyed our conversation throughout the game.  Although I only got to hang with Amato a few times over the years, after our first meeting I realized how cool he was and knew I would always enjoy the times I would get to spend with him. I will miss him.

He always was there to help you figure out how to resolve any issue that arose.  Amato will truly be missed. My deepest sympathies go out to his Family, Friends, & Loved Ones.

Forever in our hearts. There are too many great memories to write in this little box.  Amato taught me about craft beer and red wine and a little bit of Italian words & music! (Although I could never get him to appreciate country music!) A great dad to Mikey & Siena, a loving husband to Gina & a loyal friend to all. We will always love you Amato & so glad to have known you!
