

Ramirez, Augusta E., of West Palm Beach, FL, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2016. Augusta was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Sara Maria (Martinez) and Lt. Camilo Borgano on November 21, 1922. She emigrated to the United States in 1961 with her daughter and was followed by her husband and son in 1962. The family took up residence in Brooklyn, NY and later on in Queens, NY. Augusta worked for National Screening Service Corporation in New York City as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1984. In 1988, Augusta and her son moved to Coral Springs, Florida. Augusta was an active member of the Senior Center in Coral Springs and the North County Senior Center of West Palm Beach where she shared with her friends the love for traveling, arts and crafts and sewing. She was also an active participant of the grandparent program in the public school system of Coral Springs. Augusta was predeceased by her husband, Olmedo Ramirez and her son, Olmedo Eduardo Ramirez. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lupe and Miguel Recalde, her grandson, Lt Miguel E. Recalde II, his wife, Rebecca C. Recalde, great grandchildren, Leila, Olivia and Isabel Recalde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, 10:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 9500 NW 29th Street, Coral Springs. Interment will be with her husband at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Augusta's memory to the American Heart Association.
