

Barry was born in Knoxville, TN, to Arthur and Mary Alice Huffstetler on September 21st, 1946. He went to West High School in Knoxville. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and later earned an MBA from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
Barry and Carol were married on July 26, 1980, in Deerfield Beach. They lived in Hillsboro Beach before moving to Coral Springs.
Barry worked for Burroughs Corporation and later started his own business, Novatek. He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America, very active in First Presbyterian Church sports leagues, and was a dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church of Coral Springs since 1986. He was conferred membership in the First Families of Tennessee in 2020, a real honor.
Barry is preceded in death by his parents.
Barry is survived by his wife Carol, his son Greg (Mary Ruth), brothers Arlan (Carolyn) and Von (Mary Ann), Grandchildren Garrett, Grant and Mary Payton, and nieces Lori (Michael), Alicia (Jamie), Pamela (Jason) and several great nieces and nephews. He loved greatly and was greatly loved. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, November 15th, at First Presbyterian Church Coral Springs, 251 Riverside Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33065. Barry was steadfast in his love for Christ and for his church. To view the livestream of the service, please click the link below:
