Cesar grew up in Havana. In 1961, at the age of 14, he came to Miami alone as part of the Pedro Pan program. Though an only child, he was sent by parents who feared for his safety due to his participation in anti-Castro activities. In time, he built a new life in America, eventually living in New York and reuniting with his parents and other relatives.
Cesar worked in the engineering field, bringing steady dedication to his professional life.
Cesar married Gail 57 years ago, and the couple relocated to Florida three years later. He was the beloved father of Craig and Tracey, and Father-in-Law to dearest Danielle and Danny. He was a cherished grandfather to Craig’s sons, Billy and Nicholas, and to Tracey’s sons, Jay, Jimmy, and Drew.
For 14 years, Cesar coached soccer, giving his time and attention to young athletes with consistent commitment. He also preserved memories through photography, capturing family moments and travel experiences with a practiced eye and care for what mattered most.
In faith and community, Cesar served through ministries including Baptism preparation, Youth Group Leader, and Eucharistic Minister.
