Cheryl Douglas, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, in Coral Springs, Florida. She was 82 years old. She was born on August 15, 1944, in Warren, Ohio. Throughout her life, she was known for her loving heart, creative spirit, and devotion to her family.
Cheryl was married to William Douglas, a proud Air Force veteran, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Dawn, Anthony, and Kari. Her family continued to grow through her children and grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn, and her husband, Boomer Barbosa, and their children, Jordan, Cassidy, and Trevor; her son, Anthony, and his wife, Christie Libert, and their children, Alexa and Ryan; and her daughter, Kari, and her son, Garrett. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Lynn Shutes, as well as many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Funeral services for Cheryl will be held at Kareer Funeral Home in Coral Springs, Florida, on Monday, September 28, 2026. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Cheryl will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, William, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
May she rest peacefully beside the man she loved, surrounded forever by the memories of a life well lived and the love of the family she cherished so deeply.
