David Berrios-Fortyz

David Berrios Fortyz is survived by his children, Camille Smilen and David John Berrios; and his brother, Juan Berrios Fortyz of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. David is also survived by his grandchildren Camilo Luciano Berrios, Jose Camilo Martinez, Giovanna Alexandra Berrios and Ella Julianna Berrios.

David Berrios Fortyz was born on April 10th, 1945 in Puerto Rico to Juan Berrios Alvarez and Constancia Fortyz Perez. Paco is preceded in death by his parents and older brother Alejandro Berrios Fortyz.

Paco worked in the carpet industry, making him one of the best carpet installers/design advisors in Puerto Rico.

Paco was a very talented master installer at Viva Carpets, a very prestigious carpet business in Puerto Rico. David passed his knowledge to new installers in the industry and recruited many apprentices throughout the years. Paco was admired and trusted for his talents and good taste within the industry. Paco supervised and managed projects at important hotels and resorts. Paco who was known for his professionalism and expertise he worked closely with important public figures assisting them with the design and installation in their homes.

His children remember him as a simple generous loving father who was always happy and had a great sense of humor. Paco was, an amazing friend who was always ready to help when needed. Paco never complained and found the joy in everyone and everything he encountered.

His grandchildren remember him as silly and always making jokes…..making him someone who saw life in a very positive way.

A funeral for our loving father is scheduled on Sunday August 7th, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home located in Coral Springs. Our beloved friend Austin Powell will officiate the ceremony.

A visitation for David will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071.
