Peters, Dorothy, A., 74, of Coral Springs, FL, Silver Spring, MD, McLean, VA, and St. Paul, MN, passed away August 2nd, 2014. Dorothy emulated the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi as she lived her life. Dorothy was a spiritual, kind, caring woman who was always there for others. She loved to teach and share her faith with others. She served as an elementary teacher and speech pathologist throughout her career, most recently at North Side Elementary in Ft. Lauderdale. Dorothy was an outstanding, loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy M. Lund, her father Chester B. Lund, Sr. and her husband David F. Peters. She is survived by her children Katherine and David, brother Chester, sister-in-law Katherine and grandson James McMullin. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, August 11th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Coral Springs, FL. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
