Gabriel Salvatore DeMaio

DeMaio, Gabriel Salvatore, 86, of Coral Springs, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2014. Gabe was born March 26, 1928 in New York, New York to the late Domenic and Lucy (DeCaro) DeMaio. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He retired from the City of New York as a Heavy Equipment Operator and from the city of Coral Springs Water Treatment Plant. Gabe was predeceased by his loving wife, Elizabeth in 1997, son, Edward DeMaio in 2013, sister, Frances McBride and brother, Edward DeMaio. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Debra Freeman, Elizabeth DeMaio, son, Gabriel DeMaio, grandchildren, Amanda Freeman, Emily Freeman, great grandchildren, Camron Joseph, Malani Joseph, Gianna Dort, Izabella Lopez, brother, Domenic (Joan) DeMaio, sisters, Lucille Green, Vita Roquet and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 25, 2014, 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 26, 2014, 10:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 9950 NW 29th Street, Coral Springs. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach.
