Gail E Ferro

Gail was born on August 9, 1963 in Brockton, Massachusetts. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1981 and then went on to attend Barrington College, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She married Ilidio Ferro on October 12, 1985 at Baptist Church of All Nations in Taunton, Massachusetts. The ceremony was pastored by Williston Holbert and assisted by Ilidio's grandfather, Rev. Ilidio Silva. Following their wedding, they moved to Kansas City where they welcomed sons Cory Ferro in 1991 and Tyler Ferro in 1994. A job opportunity brought them to sunny South Florida where they welcomed their third son, Kyle Ferro in 1998.

Gail loved the Lord, always putting Him first. She had a heart that overflowed with kindness, generosity and love. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved them fiercely and was their greatest advocate. Gail loved tending to her orchids, a skill she learned from her late mother, Millie. Her laughter was infectious and she opened her heart to everyone. Gail loved shopping, personalizing gifts for her family and friends and could multitask like no other. She was a dedicated member of Parkridge Baptist Church for 25 years where she spent time serving on the Executive Leadership Team and the Parkridge Christian Academy board.

Gail is survived by her husband, Ilidio Ferro, of Coral Springs, Florida; children Cory Ferro and wife Ashleigh of Lawrence, Kansas, Tyler Ferro and wife Lece of Coral Springs, Florida and Kyle Ferro and partner Ashley Franz of Boynton Beach, Florida; grandchildren James, Isabella, Luke, Joel, Maya, Theodore, and Levi (arriving soon); siblings Dianne Walker Rodrigues and husband Steven of Taunton, Massachusetts and Patricia Walker Chinn and husband Jerome of Norton, Massachusetts. She is preceded by father Ronald G. Walker, mother Mildred Tourinho Walker and sister Sandra Walker Raymond.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, March 17, 2023 at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln, Rhode Island which will include a wake from 9:00am-11:00am and a funeral service from 11:00am-1:00pm. A private reception will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page has been set up for the Ferro family.

A celebration of life for Gail will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:30 PM at Parkridge Baptist Church, 5600 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33076.
