George Leo Guck

Guck, George Leo, 73, of Coral Springs, passed away March 2, 2013. George served his country honorably in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a New York City Police Officer and retired in 1971 after 10 years of loyal service. He and his wife then moved to South Florida and George was employed for the Coral Springs Improvement District, retiring in 2012. He was an avid Mets Fan, loved Abbott & Costello and collected Lionel railroad trains. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol, in 2002. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen (Alan) Hymes, Christopher (Catherine) Guck, George Guck, grandchildren, Ashley Guck, Joshua Hymes, Kaitlynn Hymes, Cameron Guck. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2013, 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 8, 2013, 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs. Interment to immediately follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale.

Words can not express the deep sadness I feel over the passing of George. I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with both George and Carol. They were wonderful grandparents to my daughter, Ashley and always very special to me. I will treasure the memories forever.
