Joan Antoinette Traverso

Joan A.Traverso died peacefully on Wednesday, April, 2022 at age of 77. She is survived by her son Douglas F.Traverso along with his wife Nicole Traverso and their children Isabella and Aaron. She is also survived by her daughter Antoinette M. Minuto, her husband James Minuto and their son James John Minuto. Joan was born in Jamaica to Algernon and Nellie Virgo. She graduated from St. Hildas High School

and after coming to The United States, she married Carlos F.Traverso. After a while the couple welcomed into their world Antoinette and Douglas, and set about teaching them how to love and live in God's light. Her children remember her as a kind, supportive and devoted mother, who was always encouraging them to do the right and do their best in everything they did.

Joan was accomplished at many things, though her main focus was always her family and God. She was passionate about being healthy and would often be seen exercising. She loved to keep her mind sharp with her word search puzzle book and was an active member of her church as well. Her voice was something wonderful to behold and she was proud to share it many a year whilst singing with the coir at church or even at home when the mood strikes.

A Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday April, 20 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home in Coral Springs, A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 21 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church Coral Springs, A farewell is scheduled at 1:30 PM at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joan's life.
