

KEARNEY, JOHN FRANCIS, 80, of Tamarac, passed away September 4, 2010. He was born January 15, 1930 in Hamilton Township, NJ and was raised in Bloomfield, NJ. He served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. John was a loyal employee for New Jersey Bell, and in Florida, BellSouth, until his retirement in 1995 after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid golfer and a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia (nee Cory), children, Barbara and Michael Kahle, John Kearney, Kathleen Kearney, Tricia Kearney, grandchildren, Matt and Erin Kahle. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Kearney, sisters, Mary Stark, Theresa Bates, Christine Hobmeier, sister-in-law, Linda Cory and brother-in-law, Joseph Hobmeier along with many nieces, nephews and close friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 12, 2010, 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 13, 2010, 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs. Interment with military honors to follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Arrangements under the direction of Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Coral Springs, FL.
