 Jon lived next door to us in Miramar for many years.  He was a part of our family.  He would eat many meals with us but everything had to swim in ketchup.  When Jon wasn't on the road he would come over and  toss the football with my son Perry who was probably 10 or 12.   Once Jon moved to Coral Springs we seemed to lose contact with him.   Much to our loss!   Jon, we miss you and your Iowa  stories.  It's only life as you used to say!   I am 93 so will see you eventually!   LoveYou Iowa Boy!

Just learned of Jon's death, from a classmate in Iowa. Very sorry and saddened to lose a life-long friend. We started church together, at 4 years old, and school through freshman year of high school. Jon loved farming, showing his purebred Shorthorn cattle and hot rodding around in his Ford convertibles (often scarring the hell out of his passengers). He always had a warm word or two when you met, perpetually in a good mood, "that's just life." I'll miss our annual marathon birthday call on his birthday, next month. HAPPY DAYS, my friend!

A big thanks to this sweet man for stepping into my life and being the only 'grandpa' figure I've ever known.

JR you will forever be rembered , I miss all the good times we had together , BEST father in-law  I could ask for, great with the grandkids.  You will always be in my hart, thoughts, and prayers. R.I.P. Truck- on. Love you Billy.

Sorry that Jon has passed. We spent many hours riding the school bus years ago. I remember humorous and ornery things, but I am not sure Lynne thought they were so humorous at the time. His older brother Tom worked for my Dad too.  The Robertson family were good farm neighbors at Letts, Iowa. Rest in peace Jon.
