Uncle Joe, I'm very saddened to hear the news of your passing. I have many memories of you and Aunt Elizabeth visiting us in California.  You were always smiling and we had many laughs listening to my mom, Peggy and Liz telling stories about them growing up. One particular visit I remember was when we all piled in the car and went wine tasting. I wasn't quite old enough so I got stuck in the stores pretending I was looking at the bottles, like I knew what I was doing.  We ended up visiting the historical mission in San Juan Batista. You and dad just chatting away, and my mom and her sister just giggling away the whole trip. We got loafs of Sourdough Bread from the bakery there and sat up late that night sipping on wine and eating bread. You talked about your children alot, and we could tell how much you loved them and how proud you were.  I'm sure they will miss you endlessly....I pray God comforts your family and brings peace to their hearts. ...  Love you Uncle Joe, and I will never forget you.

My Grandfather along with my Grandmother have  always been all about the family and faith  . Our Lord truly blessed us all to have had them as grandparents, parents, family , and friends. I will miss you both , and  I smile , as I know you both have reunited in Heaven.

I have many wonderful memories of Joe. I recall the time in Las Vegas when I was gambling with my wife, Peggy, and Joe and Liz. I hit a 900 dollar jackpot and we had lots of fun spending the money. Heaven will be lucky to receive such a great soul.

I find comfort in knowing that you and mom are together. 

A Tribute to My Father, My Greatest Gift
You were a pillar of strength, wisdom and sacrifice.  Upon returning home after serving your country, you married Liz, your childhood sweetheart and our mother. Your devotion to her over those 55 years was an example of what true love really means. Both of you loved and cherished all of us without bounds, raising us with deep rooted Catholic values in a home filled with laughter and joy.  My fondest memories of you and mom, are those in which you traveled, danced to Frank Sinatra, watched Broadway shows, played the slots in Vegas and, ultimately, when you went to Italy together to enjoy some authentic Italian food. Dad, you always taught me to be strong and I will do my best, but the loss I feel now that you're gone is immeasurable.  Your beautiful memory will carry me through all the days of my life. Prayers to the Enea family on the loss of their father.   He married my mom and got to enjoy some great cooking and baking .  Joe loved his strudel and coffee in the mornings .  So whenever they came for an overnight visit there was strudel , coffee,  home cooked meals a bud light or vodka and orange juice those he enjoyed vey much along with deep discussions with Jack about history. Joe also loved puzzle making . Rest in Peace  Joe

While I never got the chance to meet you, Joe, I have had the honor of being friends with Donna for about 16 years now. After reading the beautiful memories I now know where she gets her razor sharp wit! Nobody makes me laugh more than Donna! Thank you, Joe, for having a beautiful daughter who is now a beautiful friend. May God bless your amazing family as they mourn the loss of their beloved father. 

Our deepest sympathy to  Joes family. To his children, Betty Vinny Chrissy and Donna. Donna who went to kindergarten with my Tia 50 years ago and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship with Joe and Liz.she was a Saint.

While I never met Joe, I work with his daughter Christina. I have loved hearing the stories about Joe over the last few years, and it is clear how much Christina loves him and will miss him terribly. My thoughts are with the entire Enea family during this difficult time, and into the future. 

My deepest condolences to the Enea family.  I will always remember Joe.  He was the best neighbor I ever had. Loved Marge and Joe their kindness will be remembered always. 

Joe has always been the rock that everybody admired and adored. His wit was sharp and made all of us laugh. His beautiful family is a true testament to what a great family man could do to raise his loving family. All of them are a shining example of the eternal love that they share as a family. God bless you Joe, rest in peace. We love you. 

We very much enjoyed having Joe as part of the family when he married Marge. I loved making him espresso martinis and watching patriots games with him. He will be missed.

Joe Enea was an iconic man of character. He emulated the virtues of truth, love and honor as he taught his children, grandchildren and me a friend of his children. I was blessed to participate in the Enea family traditions and have beloved memories with laughter and life lessons. Cool Joe was always the pillar of strength and knowledge. He always had an answer and had an innate ability to support you with the way he answered. His wit was quick and engaging wanting to laugh and ask for more. His perspective was clear and on point challenging one to think and question. Joe Enea was an honorable man who loved his family deeply and led by example. Thank you, Joe, for you taught us so much while giving us the gift of laughter and preserved in immeasurable memories. Have prayed for your transition to heaven as so well deserved. We honor you as you have honored each of us. Till we meet again. Blessed be.
