Joseph J. Kelleher, Sr., 76, passed away January 9, 2024 in Coral Springs, FL where he resided for 41 years. Joseph was born September 17, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Mayfair, one of five children. He graduated from Father Judge High School in 1965, before serving as a Sergeant in the Air Force for four years in Vietnam.
After serving his country, "Joe" began his career in finance and banking with administrative positions at Household Finance, First Pennsylvania Bank, Park Finance and Equity Finance. He retired July 5, 2020. His retirement years were filled with his passions: spending time with his grandchildren; traveling with his wife Debbie; reading David Baldacci novels; and collecting empty beer cans.
Joe, an active member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church will be remembered as a loving, positive and compassionate man, always willing to give more than he received.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Debbie Kelleher; son Joseph (Gayle) J. Kelleher, Jr. of Parkland, FL; daughter Deborah Ann (Chris) Jones of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter Kimberly Karen Kelleher of Tamarac, FL; and grandchildren Aydan Kelleher of Parkland, FL; Bryson Jones of Port St. Lucie, FL; and Ava Kelleher of Parkland, FL. He is also survived by brothers Patrick (Laura) Kelleher of Upper Holland, PA, Edward Kelleher of Chalfont, PA, and sister Lorraine Davis of Sewell, NJ.
He was predeceased in death by son Sean Patrick Kelleher and brother William Kelleher.
Joe was also beloved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted January 30th, 10:30 AM, at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.
