JOSEPH POLICANO, 83, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After retiring from his landscaping business in 2009, he moved down to Kings Point in Tamarac, Florida. The sunshine and warm weather was what he truly preferred. In 2011 he became President of his building and volunteered his services to beautify his development. His other talents were writing poems for his community newsletter, creating furniture bookcases from wood and taught himself to play the piano. He is survived by his lifetime partner Sophie Pollack, his loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brothers. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida from 1PM-3PM.
