Born on Long Island, New York, Joseph enjoyed a successful career in sales within the moving and relocation industry. He was a devoted family man who took great pride in caring for his wife and family, always wanting to make sure those he loved were well taken care of.
Joseph loved cooking, gardening, landscaping, golfing, and cruising. He took great pride in caring for his plants, fruit trees, and landscaping. He had a knack for knowing a little something about just about everything and was always happy to share his knowledge. Known for his candid reviews of restaurants and cruises, Joseph enjoyed sharing his experiences with others.
He also had a love for cars, particularly his cherished 1969 Camaro Super Sport that he once owned. One of his proudest accomplishments, aside from his family, was his hole-in-one at Colony West Golf Club.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Andrew Rutherford, II and Marion Tosches Rutherford. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
