

Lawrence Edward Wiesner Sr., 85, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born August 18, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, Lawrence was the son of Jack Edward and Gertrude Florence (nee: Bartl) Wiesner, who preceded him in death.
A result oriented man in all he pursued, Larry served his country with pride as a Navy Veteran. He later built a respected career as a Safety Director in the Maritime industry, bringing steady leadership and a deep commitment to doing things the right way.
Larry was widely known as a football officiant and coach, and he remained devoted to the game and to those who shared it with him. He was also a musician at heart, playing guitar, autoharp, and piano. He loved time at the beach, cherished his animals, and took pride in being a 1st Generation American Citizen, with family roots that immigrated from Germany.
Larry is survived by his children: Lawrence Edward Wiesner Jr. and his wife Izzy; Angela Kristin Cosgrove and her husband Don; Jack William Wiesner; Matthew Edward Wiesner and his fiance Alexa; and Roberta Wiesner, daughter-in-law. He is also survived by his grandchildren Parker, Spencer, and Cole; and his great-grandchildren Liam, Luke, and Autumn. He will be remembered with gratitude and affection by his trusted dear friend and companion, Anne Dilgen, and by his beloved dog, Ollie. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael Dale Wiesner.
Visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 330716026, on March 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, FL 33449, on April 3, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
