Louis was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1941 to George and Mary Zimmerman and was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. In 1967, Louis married his wife Ann and moved to southern Florida to raise their family. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to learn, and rarely would you leave his presence without a smile on your face. Louis loved the water and regularly swam, fished, and boated. He was a devoted family man and loving father. He will be missed deeply by his friends and family.
Louis was the beloved husband of Ann; father of three children, Martha (Christopher) Harris, George and Mark (Jennifer); the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Lilianna Harris, Lauren Harris, Lucas Zimmerman, Andrew Zimmerman, Patrick Zimmerman, and Gracelynn Zimmerman.
A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Coral Springs. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
