Our mother, Diane, was a tough lady who worked hard to care for her four children.  Throughout the years, we always wished to have a close relationship with her, but that just wasn't her style.    

Her happiest years in life were probably right after she graduated from high school.  Not long after that she married her high school sweetheart, Sonny, with  whom she quickly had three daughters.  Unfortunately, she spent some time raising kids alone after he passed away unexpectedly in 1965.  Later on, Mom was married and divorced 3 additional times and had David with Charles Bondi, her 2nd husband.

Mom was never rich but always had what she needed.  After going back to school in the mid 80's and getting an Associates Degree, she became a Paralegal and was finally able to ear a modest living.  

When growing up, I remember how she loved to cook and bake.  She was very good at it and sometimes made gourmet meals and desserts, especially around the holidays. 

Mom's greatest and true passion in life was making jewelry.  She especially loved crystal beads and other types of sparkly jewelry.  She never left the house without wearing some type of sparkly necklace, ring or bracelet.  

Mom was a very creative person and jewelry making really became her passion for many years.  That's why she was so good at it.    A few times people at work and complete strangers offered to buy her handmade jewelry while she was wearing it.  I'll always have fond memories of going to many gem and jewelry shows with her to find great beads.  

Mom also very much loved  her pets, Sweetie Bird and Chica and her beloved cat, Goldie.   

Mom, I am deeply sad that you are gone but I am glad you  have been released from your painful body.  Rest in peace... you will be missed.  Especially all of your likes and loves on FB.  It just won't be the same without you there!

Diane is survived by her 4 children, Lisa, Angela, Sonya and  David) and her 8 much loved grandchildren.
