Mary J Fortunato

Mary is survived by her husband, Mike, of Coral Springs; her children, Donna Nichols, of Hollywood, Vinny Fortunato, of Lake Worth, and Paul Fortunato, of Tamarac; and her siblings, Carole Leone, of Port Washington, New York, and Louis Vilardo, of Hanceville, Alabama.

Mary was born on October 25, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to Ernest and Mary Vilardo. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York. Mary married Michael, her husband of over 50 years in Canarsie, NY. They raised three children in Long Island, NY until moving to Florida in 1985. After moving to Florida, Mary worked for KSM Electronics as a salesperson for over 15 years. Mary settled into retirement life and enjoyed time with her seven grandchildren- Jessica Tremblay, Nicholas Tremblay, TJ Nichols, Christopher Fortunato, Jonathan Fortunato, Taylor Fortunato, Lauren Fortunato and three great-grandchildren- Gianna Tremblay, Kamden Gude and Skylar Nichols.

Mary was an avid reader who loved to travel. She was a generous individual who enjoyed spending time with her family and her loving friends.

A Celebration of Life gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, 2021, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with a memorial service to start at 5pm, at Kraeer Funeral Home at 1655 North University Drive in Coral Springs. A reception to follow. A live stream of the memorial service will be available on Facebook.com/kraeercoralsprings. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary’s life.
