Michele Antoinette Jackson Duncan was born in Colon, Panama on December 5, 1963. Michele was the first born child of Beverly Hudson and Roberto Jackson. As the first grandchild on the maternal and paternal sides, Michele was the pride and joy of the family. Growing up in Panama, Michele had a wonderful childhood filled with the nurturing love of her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Michele became a Big Sister to her sibling Lavone and Jamilex. The three sisters would remain a close knit group.
In 1979, Michele migrated to the United States. She attended Erasmus Hall and George Wingate High School. She resided in New York until the birth of her beloved baby boy, Branden X-Zavier Jackson. Her son was truly the love and light of her life and she dedicated herself to raise him. Seeking a fresh start, Michele relocated to Florida in 1998 to be closer to her sisters. As a single parent, it was not always easy but she was determined to raise an intelligent, respectful and productive young man. And Michele did just that. Branden is an exceptional young man; he achieved academic success and currently serves in the United States Navy. As mother and son, they share an eternally unbreakable bond. Michele's legacy and spirit live on through her son and nephew, Joshua-whom she adored. Although she is gone too soon, Michele leaves behind a lifetime of memories in the lives of so many. She will forever be missed.
Left to mourn her passing are her son Branden Jackson, her loving mother Beverly Hudson, Father Robert Jackson and "Dad" Alex Hudson; her beloved grandmother, Lilith Bellamy, siblings, Lavone Jackson, Jami Ketchup, Monique and Robert Jackson, nephew Joshua Jackson, brother-in-law, Bobby Ketchup. She will be missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends.
It brings comfort to know that Michele is resting at Peace. Although we grieve her passing, we celebrate her life and pray that her journey takes her into the loving arms of the Lord.
We are grateful for your support, thoughtful acts of kindness and the prayers-which are sources of comfort and sustenance to the family and loved ones. God bless each and every one of you
