11 Years!  My world is not the same!  The time has gone by so fast, but getting past the sadness seems to be going in slow motion.

I did  not  Know  her  long, we  were in a pogo bowling league  together,  The  short  time  I played with her  and knew her  she always  made me laugh  and never spoke unkind about anyone. Rest in peace Bam  Rest in peace  I will not  forget you  Jeri (TINK)

Now that you're in Heaven and we are trying to get our lives back to normal I find myself thinking about you every day.  

I miss your smile when I see you. 

I miss your laugh when I tell you some stupid joke - you always laughed at my stupid jokes.

I miss the jokes you'd send me in email - they were always funny - you only sent me the "good ones".

I miss that you were always afraid to bother me because I was busy - Mom, I was NEVER too busy to talk to you... NEVER!!  Others maybe... but never you.

I miss yelling "MAAAAAAAAAAA" in the phone when you talked to Claudette.

I miss keeping our secrets about how much you won at Bingo - even though it was never that much.

I miss the family dinners and the Pokeno afterwards until late in the evening.  I miss the HUGE payouts of $2.00 or $3.00.  It was so worth it to spend hours and hours eating and playing.

I miss watching you wash the dishes after those big meals and that you would never use the dishwasher.  You always finished soaking wet - I always found that a funny little quirk.

The list goes on and on... and on.

You were so special to me - you truly touched my heart and I will NEVER forget you.

You are a beautiful person - with a heart filled with kindness, love and compassion.

I only wish I could have know you longer.  Those that did are the lucky ones.

Lastly, I miss the SAUCE!

I wrote this poem, in memory of my mother Midge:

I wish there was email,
Between heaven and here.
I wish there was email,
So I could still talk to my mother dear.

I would share with her pictures,
Of people and events missed,
I would share with her stories,
Jokes, funny videos and lists.

I would tell her we love her,
And all the family with her there.
And ask if she is happy,
While wiping away my tear.

I would ask her lots of questions,
About how she spends her days.
I would read every word,
Absorb everything she says.

I would cherish every alert,
That a new email has arrived
To know that she was thinking,
Of those still left alive.

I would give her all the details,
Of questions she might pose,
Of who did what with whom and why,
Until my last tear ran dry. 

So when I get to missing mom,
I can just fire up my email, 
And be with her and her with me,
And a smile would never fail

Midge, I never called you Aunt Midge. You were 9 years old when I made you an Aunt. I have so many happy memories spent with you & I will cherish them forever. Midge was my "bingo mom" many people thought she was really my mom, I would never disagree! Playing bingo will never be the same, I will miss you always & our special talks...she would always ask about her "bimbette" my daughter Samantha. I Love You Midge!!! Rest in Peace!

I only new Midge from BINGO but we connected because we both worked for the school system and had a couple of mutual aquaintences. She always greeted me with the warmest smile.  BINGO will not be the same.  RIP Midge

   I've had many people come into my life, but only one with a heart of gold that mom had. As a young kid growing up, mom was caring enough to take me in and give me a home whenever I needed one. She was kind, caring and tough on me when she needed to be. No matter what she always had my back. This meant a lot to me growing up from a teenager to the man I am today and I thank her whole heartily for that. I love you and will miss you greatly. Thank you for the laughs and the meals and of course for your love and support.

Midge was not your typical mother-in-law. We had a relationship that was so very close.  I loved her as if she was my own mother.  She was a caring, loving person that would do anything for you.  If you were in pain, she comforted you.  If you were hungry, she fed you - and BOY could she feed you!

I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.
