

Hofmann, Mildred (Keno) Kennedy Hake, 92, of Coral Springs and Marathon, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 4:20pm. She was born Mildred Kennedy on June 29, 1919 in Cassopolis, Michigan to the late pastor, Dr. Joseph J. and Florence (Davy) Kennedy. She graduated from Mt. Clemens High School in Mt. Clemens, MI in 1936 and attended Detroit Business University. During WW II, she was a flight secretary at the Naval Air School in Fraser, MI. Mr. Hofmann was one of the founders of Coral Springs and President of Coral Ridge Properties, the company that developed this area of South Florida. Mrs. Hofmann was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Marathon Yacht Club and Coral Springs bridge groups. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 32 years, Robert L. Hofmann, daughters, Marcia Repp of Pennsylvania, Ellen Hake of London, England, Sterling (Sudie) Braun of Kalamazoo, MI, Elizabeth (Libi) Hake of Chicago, IL. Her two sisters, Lois Dobovan of Mt. Clemens and Sarah Jane Ware of Auburn Hills, also survive her. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2011, 1:00 - 5:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home& Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, where funeral services will begin at 5:00pm. Interment will be in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Mt. Clemens, MI
