Norma Elizabeth Manzie, 75, of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, passed away on November 21, 2024, in Delray Beach, Florida.
Norma was born in Somers Point, New Jersey, to Norman Walter Pharo and Cora Elizabeth Butler on April 29, 1949. She attended school in Point Pleasant Beach and later married her loving husband, Robert Manzie, in her hometown. She raised her children in the Point Pleasant and Brick Township area, where she worked in medical billing.
Norma’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially encouraging her grandchildren and loving every moment she could spend with them. Whether she was reading books and magazines, listening to music full blast, enjoying long car rides, or having dance parties with the littlest members of the family, she brought warmth, joy, and a free spirit to all who knew her. She also loved the smell of a good rainstorm and breakfast for dinner, always finding beauty in the simple things in life.
Norma is survived by her loving family, including her children: Kymm and Don Kerekes, Sherry and Glen Ryan, Sandy and Mike Peterson-Manzie, Mandi Manzie, and Robert Manzie Jr. and his fiancée Jessica Mary Hillman. She is also survived by her sister, Sandy Hill, and her children Michele Canose (and daughter Mia), Michael Canose (and daughter Isabel), and Jennifer Hill-Vega and her husband Rubin; her younger brother, Larry Pharo, and his wife Sue, and their children, Lauren Scott (her husband Rob and son Nate) and Ryan Pharo (his wife Jodi and their children, Jenna, Jaeden, Gio, Gabe, Jocelyn, and Garret); and her beloved grandchildren: Breanna Ryan (29), Mikayla Kerekes (26), Kendyl Kerekes (24), Taylor Ryan (22), Lorenzo Manzi (13), Gio Manzi (10), Angelo Manzi (7), Talia Manzi (5), Valentina Manzie-Miller (4), and great-grandchild Amelia Charlotte Riley (3).
In keeping with her wishes, Norma will be cremated, and the family plans to hold a small Memorial Service after the holidays.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to "Grandma Norma's Future Fund" to honor her deep love and devotion to her grandchildren. Contributions will support their future endeavors, such as college, weddings, and other milestones that were so important to her.
