Norma Ann Mason

Norma Ann Mason passed away yesterday Jan 27, 2016 of a stroke she suffered in her sleep that morning in Coral Springs, Fl. Mrs. Mason was born May 17, 1929 in Richmond, Indiana to Charles and Inez Sittloh. She married her childhood sweetheart Richard E. Mason Feb. 20, 1948 who preceded her in death in 2004. They lived near Centerville, Indiana farming until moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1965 to start a funeral business. Norma had begun working as a hair stylist in their farm home prior to moving to Florida which she continued and for a while had her own shop called Mam’selle Hair Stylists near Melrose Park, Florida. Richard and Norma started their own funeral business in Tamarac, Florida in 1976 called Mason Funeral Home. They sold that business and retired in 1991 living in Tamarac, Fl. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by taking their children and their spouses on a Caribbean cruise. Norma and Richard are survived by their four children Dana (Debra), Larry (JeNelle), Jeff and Wendi (Chris), fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Friends may gather from 11AM to 1PM at the KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida. Funeral Service will be held Saturday Jan 30, 2016 at 1 PM. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Centerville, IN.
