Paul Vincent Tranford

Paul Vincent Tranford died peacefully at his home on November 1, 2021 in Coral Springs, Florida at the age of 99 years old.
Paul was born on April 19, 1922 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Louis and Rose Tranford (Tranfaglia). Paul was born on Paul Revere’s birthday and accordingly, his parents named him after the patriot. He was the youngest of Louis and Rose’s three children and grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts graduating from Chelsea High School. Thereafter, he attended Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts, before he enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 during World War II. Paul was stationed in the European theatre during the war before he was honorably discharged in 1946.
After the war, he worked as a graphic artist with Rust Craft Greeting Cards before going onto a career as a teacher at the Quincy Vocational Technical School. In was at the Quincy Voc Tech that Paul met the his sole mate Mary Hayes and the two married in July 1968. After which they had two children, Lee Ann and Paul Vincent. Paul was a devoted husband and father who instilled a love of education in his children.
In 1982, Paul and his family moved to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida where Paul enjoyed in retirement years. While retired, Paul dabbled in politics becoming an Indian Rocks Beach City Commissioner as well as being appointed on numerous city boards. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mary, once their children were grown and spending time with his grandchildren and family members.
Paul is survived by his two children, their spouses, his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings, Louis and Anna.
A funeral is scheduled for December 4, 2021 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Kraeer Funeral Home at 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida. His funeral may also be viewed on the following link:
