Abitante, Peter Joseph, 80, of Margate, went to be with the Lord, June 25, 2016. Peter was born February 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Joseph and Carmella (Chiafitella) Abitante. Peter served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Epiphany in 2013. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Irene Abitante, grandchildren, Joseph Abitante, Peter Abitante, great grandson, Anthony Abitante, brother, Joseph (Camile) Abitante and sisters-in-law, Mildred Praino and JoAnne Brino. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, 5:00 - 9:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 9:30am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 5201 Military Trail, Deerfield Beach. Interment to immediately follow at South Florida National Cemetery with honors where he will be laid to rest with his dear wife, Epiphany.
